About Kathleen

Kathleen Bartlett is a PhD researcher with ACADEMY in the Limerick School of Art and Design. A member of Contact studios, Limerick, her studio practice comprises painting, model-making, photography, video and sculptural work. Her field of research explores the phenomenology of ‘other’ spaces through practice-based fine art research. The subject matter of her current work is the exploration of ruins and their intersection with the phenomenology of other spaces, with particular focus on an extensive case study of a recent ruin. She has exhibited in a number of shows as a member of Contact studios, as well as at Limerick School of Art and Design, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick, and with a small solo show, ‘Forgotten’, at The Hunt Museum, Limerick (2015).
